Being subscribed to qzecwx, I discovered that this was re-used in Woodman's level on Rockman 2 MIN.
The MIN cover is good, but so is this. Not a bad choice for #8 on your list.

Epic, one of the most memorable pieces of music I've ever heard, not just VG music.

I like how they consistently use the same drum synth throughout the OST for this game. It somehow gives it a lot of unity.

Remix is not as good as original, but it rox! This is my fav. music to Secret of Mana, except Meridian Dance!

There's a remix of this song at the OCRemix site but it's only okay, you'd probably get a headache from it if you listen to it too much

Oh I love the song as is too, I just love hearing another person's take on a song too, remixes can be beautiful if done right, or can suck if done horribly wrong. I feel if someone did a beautiful remix of this song, it'd be a flattering tribute.

Oh totally I agree with your opinion on this song, it is just awesome, upbeat, and somehow it fit the Mana Fortress maze perfectly. I'd love to see someone actually make a remix of this song sometime. I find it odd that it's hardly mentioned, and not once have I heard a remix. Ah well, thanks for posting this, glad to find another who is a fan of this great song.
