I have the Bass II version of the Coronado. Now I wish I had the guitar too. It sounds a little bit like a Gretsch with those DeArmond pickups.

love dat guitar man! I play a'67coronado wild wood ll and i have to agree with you totally! i never would have gone lookin for it but when i saw it at the pawn shop i just coulnt stop thinkin bout it. The best part is it helped my fin mine own voice nstyle as a player and song writer. I rarely play with a pick anymore and love the tone you can get wih heavier strings! enjoy bro you just found yourself a keeper cya

Nice demo, thanks! It actually sounds better than I'd imagined. Is the playability comparable to a Strat?

@ccrholland Scale wise, I'm pretty sure it is 25.5 like a Strat - so yes, similar. The overall feel is of course quite different - but playability and scale are distinctly Fender. I'm a big fan of this guitar - it is kind of an unlikely hero, and I really just stumbled across it (and would never have gone looking for one otherwise).

They both sound great!
Was that guitar refinished/restored? it looks really good for a 43 years old guitar!

The finish is original. there is a lot of finish checking that you can't see in the video. It is heavily checked, really. And - the color is Candy Apple Red - you can see how much it has yellowed in to that copper-ish color.
And, thanks!
