Right to Turban Part I of II - Punjabi Ver

Since September 11, the world has been gripped by fear such that many minority communities, including the Sikh community, have suffered a backlash through mis-information and ignorance. The first reprisal killing after Sept 11 was of a Turban wearing Sikh in Arizona, who was mistaken as belonging to the group which perpetrated the 9/11 incident. Sikhs due to their unique appearance have since been a target of hate and bias crime and discrimination. Every week, UNITED SIKHS receives reports from Sikh adults and children who are victims of race/biased/hate crimes and from those being denied their rights to practice their religion. A Sikh's right to wear his articles of faith has been challenged in schools, the workplace, Prisons and other public places. Sikhs suffer increased harassment at airports because they wear the Turban. UNITED SIKHS provides advice, counsel and legal representation to those whose legal rights are being denied by errant and mis-informed authorities and the public. A critical aspect of UNITED SIKHS' advocacy work is to create an awareness of the issues amongst authorities and the public through talks, seminars and multifaith events.


Today the remit of the Right To Turban campaign covers the Right To Turban issue in any country where Sikhs are denied their right to wear their Turban. If you, or anyone you know, has been denied the right to wear his/her turban, please do not hesitate to contact a UNITED SIKHS office nearest to you.

Another thing I should also stick your in head as well. You probably know that there many diplomats from other countries who stationed at their well respected Embassies or consulates in Canada. If a diplomat beats the living crap out of a white guy like you, you know that you cannot press charges? He will just declare diplomatic immunity and the laws of Canada cannot touch them. I know a few diplomats in Canada that would break the law.

Another thing I also want to mention. Since the USA is causing major problems in the world like fighting two wars; did you know that if the USA started a war with a super nuclear power country like Russia, Canada would be bound to help the U.S and fall with the U.S. Just to let you know half of the people who live in Canada are migrants and made the country the way it is today. Most of them are investors and corporations that is controling the government.lol

The question is what are you doing here? Wefare cheques. LOL Buddy I am an as wellinvestor. My Bank State Of India is located in Canada just like many foreign banks. Without investors from foreign countries Canada would be nothing. Banks HSCH, ING etc pulled out of Canada, the economy would suffer. Majority of the jobs are being outsourced to other countries even though for cheap labour it is hurting the Canadian Economy.
