If the creators of this game gave Phoenix her true power, she would beat, kill, and annihilate everyone, everything, and whatever planet she's standing on instantly. One attack would kill any opponent and you wouldn't be able to put a single scratch on her. Playing with her wouldn't be any challenge or require any skill. She would be stronger than Galactus.

@Psyndicate I think they realized how powerful and unlimited a character she really is so they had to weaken her in some areas or it would be no contest every time. In the comics, she literally ate a star.

Jean Grey is one of my favorite characters on Marvel vs.Capcom 3, but I do not understand why the creators of the game made her health very low. She really does not have an advantage over any of the other characters. Sure she can turn into Dark Phoenix if she is at Level 5, but her health gradually dwindles during game play. Also, she can regain some health if you can build up to Level 1 before dying to a simple combo attack. She should have Level 5 energy all the time to even the odds.
