What a beautiful tribute, my friend!
And on so many levels!
Your singing's always so faithful to the spirit, the intention of the original one; so good, in itself!
The visual part, as usual, plays an important role too!
The tone slowly changes through a rainbow: a tribute to the psychedelic age?
I particularly enjoyed that recording studio atmosphere: the mic and its rod, the headphones, that computer with some waveforms displayed. You, respectfully turning it off.

@chickenthr33 Hi ! Don't want to start long discussions, but it's a fact that for David the first years into Floyd weren't easy, expecially when 'forced' to write, like for Ummagumma 'divided' project (and results were good, The Narrow Way is probably the best track there). Anyway, I seriously appreciate more the music parts composed by Rick at time and later than ones composed by David... the ending of SOYCD pt.2 stands for itself. Said that, whole sound was combination of the talents of all 4.

@JOEneil69 Rick was great, but Gilmour did write most of the music (except for Animals/The Wall which were mostly Roger) Wright admittedly didn't contribute much after the Wish You Were Here album. He had some great songs he wrote during the first bunch of albums that don't get the credit they deserve though.
Regardless, there was nothing nor will there ever be a sound quite like what Roger/David/Rick/Nick had.

Hi Monica ! Nice to meet you and thank you very much for your comment, expecially when you said that late Rick would be proud. Having such a comment by someone who listens the original so often makes me very happy, so thanks for sharing what you felt ! I agree that people should know this album more. I hope that someone who stumbles upon my cover for various reasons can become curious about listening to it. In Italy it's a little rare to found the CD on music shops. Let's hope for a re-issue !

Hello Mr. Cospite,
You did a very good job! Rick Wright would have been proud! Unfortunately, a lot of people don't know this masterpiece. I listen to the Broken China album almost every day and I do like your rendition. Your Italian accent adds a special atmosphere to the song. I'm sorry my Italian writing skills are pretty much absent, but I can read and understand your language. In bocca al lupo!

Thanks !! I removed vocals using the free software Audacity following a tutorial found here on YouTube. It doesn't always works, just with some songs ... it depends on how they were mixed. You're welcome !

Wow! This is great!
Did you record the backing track new (how?) or did you somehow erase the vocal track?
man, i think Rick would be proud, as I am right now. Congratulations, this performance really touched me.

Hi ! Thanks a lot ! You're welcome !
I re-created an instrumental backing track from the original file using an easy to find and totally free software called Audacity. Youtube has lots of video tutorials about it. It doesn't always make 'the trick' well, but luckily with this song it did. Hope my answer helps you ;-) Long live the memory of Rick.
