For an exciting experience go here: http://englishhistory.net/keats/manus... and click on the link at the bottom of the page for the poem in its original, in the poet's own handwriting. I was so overwhelmed my eyes immediately brimmed with tears. I know; I'm a poetry nerd.
To Autumn
by John Keats
I had some problems with this particular poem getting it copied here with all the lining done correctly. Sometimes extraneous code gets in the way of the poem's appearance in this description box. so rather than trying to copy it again, I'll give you this like to the text where you can read along in another window if you like. http://www.potw.org/archive/potw279.html
Thanks!

Oh ...I did not meant it like that...I just remember liking it...Keat's house was just around the corner from where I lived in Hampstead...back in the day. Hardly anyone went into it then...I used to sit in the garden under a wonderful tree...I think it was fig ?

Ah, I cannot help it sometimes. I think of Mozart writing his first opera... what was he? Six years old? lol Makes me wonder what I've done with the years. :) But the fig tree sounds like it was a very lovely experience.

I remember learning that in school....its very evocative...to think he was only a young lad when he wrote that...amazing.!
