Supervisors and line staff of the Royal Bank of Canada protested on Monday over the failure of the banks management to begin negotiations on the collective agreement for the workers. According to the National Workers Union that represents the employees after months of attempts the management of RBC appears unwilling to begin negotiations. The Union is calling for intervention of the Labour Minister to bring a speedy resolution to the problem.

  • @missdemocracy1 if your truly good at what you do, you become a necessity to the cie, and you are the one that make your demmand... We didnt become #1 bank in canada with unions, we are #3 in north america and in the top 50 banks in the world. RBC brand is really strong. RBC stock is a safe investment, we where one of the most well managed bank in the recession and one of the only banks to pull out profit during the recession... u want your union, go work else where we dont need you

  • @missdemocracy1 LOL lady i work for the bank and i moved up fast because there was no union... fuck seniority and being gingerly with everyone. if you cant cut the sale and you aint got talent why should you be ahead of me or choose your schedule before me?! thank god we dont have a union, i get to choose my schedule before people thats been there several years before me, why cuz i make the sales n the number on my report. i dont need a union to defend my right and what not.

  • I'm sorry. "We" do need a union at RBC. There must be a reason why the majority of banks in St. Lucia are unionized & many others across the C'bean region continue to organize to do the same. "We" must ensure that we protect our rights - hours of work, conditions, benefits, pay. Financial institutions should consider their employees as their most important asset as we contribute significantly to their success. It's thinking like yours that would have had us still sitting at the back of the bus.

  • trying to establish a union in branch... i hope you all lose your jobs. we dont need a union at rbc.. just do your job well , if not get the fuck out!
