Chapter 2.
The Dream.
Some people believe that dreams tell the future, or at least a part of it. For me, dreams are just a tease. Showing you how great things could be, before making it all disappear for you to realize that great is something that will never happen to you. They make you enter the world of: what if? They show you things that you could have never imagined and never thought of. They bring you comfort, like a soft blanket that warms you up. The thing is, they never last. Once you open your eyes and they fade away, there's no more blanket. Only the cold and harsh reality that is life.
I had this dream when I was thirteen. I didn't give much importance to it, it was just another silly dream you have when you're a teenager. Little did I know that 2 years later, I would have given anything for that dream to come true.
*dreaming*
I wasn't sure where I was, it took me a while to figure it out. Then it hit me, the desks, the chairs, the laughs, the uniforms. I was in school. In my history class. Sitting next to who had had been my history partner for the whole year. Kevin Jonas. Curly hair, hazel eyes, funny, nice, nothing more. Or so I thought. But this time it was different, he didn't feel like just my partner, the way he quickly looked at me and without any notice slowly brushed his fingers against mine, under the desk while casually talking and joking with are other classmates. It felt warm and...good.
Then, the scene changed. I was walking down an aisle. All I felt were the hundreds of eyes on me. Next to me was a man I didn't know, holding my arm while smiling proudly. I looked down to see that I was wearing a long white gown. This was a wedding. I looked up again and saw him. Kevin. Standing there with his huge smile, staring at me as if I was the 8th wonder of the world. The next thing I knew I was saying I do and we were sealing this with a kiss. The feel of his lips against mine would never wear off.
The scene changed again. We were in a house. His hand on my shoulder, my eyes filling with tears as I stared into the eyes of the beautiful little girl we had created. I looked at him and he mouthed that he loved me. Never had I felt so much because of three little words.
Then, it all faded. Before I could even do anything about it, it was time to get up and start 7th grade again. Just like that. BOOM.
That dream was one of the most defining moments of my young life. The dream that changed it all, the dream that started everything...
I just didnt know it yet.
