Clogfest 2008 Seven Stars - Choreographed Hornpipe Steps

The group was founded in 1996 at Wigan Pier, Lancashire to practise and perform dances in a traditional style. The team's repertoire consists of clog, danced either as solos or choreographed and danced in a group and various sword dances from both the Longsword and Rapper traditions.

The clog dances are varied in style and owe much to the clog step traditions of Lancashire, Northumbria, Wales and even North America. Shortly after the team's first public performances in 1997 they were asked to represent Wigan at the International Folk Festival held annually in Wigan's twin town Angers, in the Loire valley. Since then they have performed at events and festivals in England and Wales as well as at small, local events.
