Japanese legend Tomohito Itoh. Had a great rookie season in '93 finishing 7-2 in 14 games with a 0.91 ERA. wouldn't pitch again until '96 due to arm problems.

  • That is one amazing slider... too bad it was due to a loose shoulder joint that also put him at health risk frequently.

  • He was a outstanding pitcher!! If he could go USA, How would he play??

Honestly, I sometimes think about such a stupid dream...but I wanted to see that situation with Hideo Nomo...In that case, I feel he might not have to get the injure for his elbow and shoulder...(; _ ;)....That's a pity from my heart.

  • He retired 8 years ago.

he is Yakuruto Swallows pitching coach.

  • is he still playing by any chance or did he retire?

  • It was Nomura's fault. 100 or more pitches for every game he started, etc.

  • The Greatest Spelunker

  • Itoh's arm problems mostly stemmed from his slider.
