Jamming good PC game into a console "Porting" is like jamming a whale through a needle hole, you have to take out non essential elements because the hardware is outdated. FROM: 2006XBOX, 2007PS3 TO:2011PC imagine PC being a console but instead of having games created on it, imagine Developers creating games on current PS3 or Xbox360 hardware? Think about that for a minute... you might say: But what about God of war 3, Killzone 3, Uncharted 3 etc. when the truth is you actually owe praise to PC.

@uzusek actually that´s false... my 2008 PC can handle crysis 2 pretty well... better than any console... you just have to know about videocards... and no, you don´t need a very expensive videocard

look at his textures, they're turned way down to accommodate the massive amounts of bloom

@addz17 let me give a few more examples .... Arkham city - no proper physx and dx 11. Skyrim - the usual. Saints row 2 - Horrendous. Saints row 3 - Does not work on even my brothers ati 6970. Force unleashed 1 and 2. I could go on and on. But ive just run out of games.

@TheJackRapper2 even if you can't run them on high settings, you will still be running at a much higher resolution with AA. Have you looked at console games recenty lol the resolution is sooo low and objects just pop up infront of you because of the low draw distances.. Even though you can run it on high/ultra high it is still going to look far better. I agree with you about the bad ports... have you played skyrim, prime example :(

@addz17 well, that somehow is not the case. I don't know why, but even the games released this year make my pc cringe. It was fine last year, when i had bought it. all games high settings. Call it bad porting or something, i dunno, i think they intentionally port the games badly, excluding exceptional games, to force us to upgrade our pc.

@TheJackRapper2 having poor graphics will not create any sort of trend with how good gameplay is, the only thing that will improve it is if people stop handing over cash for crap games. Upgrade? A 2006 pc will still play games better than a 2006 xbox lol people only upgrade becasue they want to, and because they can

@addz17 the only issue is that the graphics of the console is not up to par. But graphics do not make the game. Many games are continuously coming out, having better and better gameplay. I would rather that they keep making games for these consoles for another 2 years. That would prevent me from upgrading my pc! And until and unless new consoles come out, there wouldn't be "pure" pc games!
