The stove could suck air through the cooling fins to make a better cooling and to re-use some heat.

@flesvik Yeah, but he is right...
he is not bitching about it...just trying to help
Also...
better then say bad stuffs...

@Super98chevy yeah pointing out typing errors instead of addressing the argument. THAT is an epic fail....

Wouldn't H&A be cheaper if you just use geothermal at say 8 to 10 LF dig? A VDC fan powered by 12 VDC batt stack charged by a combo sm. wind turbine / solar panel would work all nite. Seldom w/o sun or wind so charge is continuous. This sys. also uses a large diesel engine style radiator mounted via box on existing FAU system in attic / basement / etc. You just gotta make the effor to dig the trenches, run the S80 PVC, fill with H2o / antifreeze variant, etc. no temp variant at 10 ft. deep

The beauty of this is not how efficient it is for heat to electricity conversion. The beauty of this is that if you are heating a house with a wood stove you can throw one or two of these on the stove and charge batteries. Think ice storms with two or three weeks of no electricity. Also a good option for as a supplement of PV panels in inclement weather. Efficient to power them with a wood stove is not the issue. The issue is use heat being produced for another purpose.

why the radiator. don't need the max heat a viable?

@evilspiritchild the stove isnt as hot on the bottom....the whole point here is to heat the generator so it can do its thing.
-
So you are putting out about maybe 7 000 W of heat from the stove and then you get 50 W electricity out of it..... Wow what an effeminacy.

@orbit9a or it CAN power 2 25 watt light bulbs! or, better yet, 4 12 watt CFL bulbs! or many million LED bulbs! okay, never mind the LEDs (unless youre lighting a dollhouse)...but the CFLs are bright enough to make a big difference. But I think the bigger payoff might be to charge 12 volt batteries and run 12 v appliances. Think big!
Is this guy a mime?

Your better of having the unit mounted under the a stove to improve its efficiency and not surrounded by heat after all hot air rises .
