A short history of workplace health and safety in the United States, up to the early 1920s. This was taken from the 1979 film, "Can't Take No More," from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The entire film is posted on Google Video.

  • as a republican, I beg to differ.

1: safety should be, more or less, insured, yes. CHild labor is, in fact, more or less wrong.

however, I happen to think that there should be more factories IN america, because outsourcing really isn't helping things -_- and, in that sense, yes, early 20th for the win.

we might actually fucking have some jobs.

  • Republicans would love nothing more than to take American labor back to the early 20th century.

Health and safety these days seems to be all about making it impossible to do your job. The rules are mostly impractical and very expensive. Here in the U.K. our mining and engineering industries are the safest in the world, because the Chinese and Indians are doing it.

Yep, Rethugs hate unions and hate regulations. Yet I wonder if they know they eat the same food we eat, drink the same water and fly the same airplanes we fly? I guess not..LOL

    Rethuglicans...so ridiculous and dangerous.

  • Now illegals do that kind of shitty jobs! pinches gringos

  • I like this channel and the information you share are just great!

  • Is accidents a correct word to descibe such horrific incidents? Language has evolved based on science and I understand this is an old documentary but we continue to use the A word relentlessly.

  • @atripa645 And the Democrats would rather have you on welfare.

  • This video is telling me something for war.

  • I love the sheep outside the Whitehouse, bring them back!

  • we,re continually looking at ways to improve the image of construction
