How to use the program JMRI to run trains on your DCC layout. Its quiet simple actually. This is Using the NCE(North Coast Engineering) system. Im showing you our setup so that you can get a feel on what do when setting up yours.

    the wired controllers run somewhere around the the 150 mark or so.

  • WOW !! Using the power of Linux to power trains. Suddenly i am becoming a DCC fan. The only question now is which flavor of Linux is appropo? Suse, Ubuntu, Mint or Fedora? Who cares, just as long as it is Linux Baby.

    We are using Fedora, but we have another machine running Ubuntu. Linux is a great OS!

  • hey wait dont u have to have that adapter for the pc not just a cable that u pluged in to the station can u go over that again everything u need for hook up wires and components thanks

  • I am sorry i have to comment on the guy not knowing what type of engine he has why is that ,,?? If you have trains you should know why kind it is

    yes for this computer we are using fedora, out other two computer that will run signals are windows

    Thanks for the comment, yeah I wanted to show the steps from begining to end on how to get it moving. This year we are going to be doing alot of how to's mostly revoling around dcc, setup, jmri's decoder pro and soon panel pro and of course the club updates. So trust me we arent going to stop!
