For an unprecedented 6th time, Tony Geary takes home the Best Lead Actor award! This is from the 2008 Daytime Emmys for his work during Luke's health scare.

I am a huge GF fan and initially a Geary fan. He still gives me reason to watch him here and there. I cringe hearing him complimenting his partner JE who is excellent and deserves better. I cringe only because he was allowed another partner and another storyline which GF was denied. When Laura built serious heat with StefanC the ship got scared and killed it. Not expecting fairness truth still is GF made Geary's career (such as it is). Laura had sparks with almost everyone.

What is it with you Genie Francis lovers always tripping like Anthony Geary is slighting her or something? That has never EVER been the case. Watch his first Emmy win where he puts Genie over big time. Anthony Geary has always gone out of his way to give Genie tremendous props. Anthony Geary is the best actor ever in soaps period.

Although I think Tony Geary is a great actor, He was on very little in 2008. The only scenes worthy were with Luke and Laura in the cabin. Other than that he was just a drunk behind a bar.

Okay, if Anthony loses this year but is up for it next year, I will root for him next year-unless an AMC actor is nominated. Then I would have to hope for a tie. LOL!
I would not mind if Cosgrove won since he was on AMC, for a couple of years, in the 1990s and did a great job.
