DO and MD neurologists are essentially the same thing- Unless you want to use some of the extra training you receive as a DO.A DO would without a doubt have an edge in functional neurology.
With all due respect to Chiropractors, they aren't physicians or medical practitioners. It's hard to imagine how they could legally effectively treat a neurological disease. Certainly they can't diagnose one- not legally.
Stick with DO or MD. DO sounds like what you want.

@LuckyDukeSeven have you looked into Functional Neurology? there's a nice program for chiropractors that works with some interesting new science... I want to do this but become a DO neurologist instead of a chiropractor so that i actually would SEE neuro patients. all about having options for them. what do you think of this plan?

@MsVintage007 I would see your family doctor first. A cardiologist sounds a little more subject to cirrcularry problems. Neurologist are more brain and nervous system

Neurology. You could also try to get into a DO program instead of an MD program, where they'll teach you some extra musculo-skeletal stuff. Although, to be honest, put in work NOW. Study hard. Take lots of sciences. When you get into college, take the hardest professors and DON'T play around. I knew 20 people besides myself trying to get into medical school (which is after college)- only I got in. Everyone else couldn't, or opted for an easier career path.
So work hard kid!

im only a freshman in high school but im considering very seriously what i want to do when im older. Im interested in the medical field and i love learning about the skeletal, nerve system, brain ect. and i really like to help people so i was wondering if there is aby other fields that deal with the skeletal system or nervous system but i would rather not deal with blood and guts any suggestions?
