After a brief "the sun ain't gonna shine" retro clip, scott is subjected to a painfully brainless scottish vj's inane questions. then, the "lynchian" video for "track 3" off "climate of hunter"

  • He's been to the future and is trying to tell us about it.

  • God, I love Scott. Happy 69th, you marvellous singer.

  • @TRUNDLETHOR From Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio. I don't know'em so I won't be able to tell more about x)

  • His face shows he totally doesn't care THE HELL AT ALL of em. But at least he explained why there was no name to few tracks. (Btw I love his face when he recognozes Track Three's clip xD :D) WALKER 4 EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TRUNDLETHOR yes, but The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine anymore isn't from him

  • @TRUNDLETHOR JANDEK has made a whole lot more of it, some of it brilliant. I wonder if these guys write letters to each other, or maybe if they came into contact, the universe would implode.

  • Thought Muriel Gray did fine here. Scott didn't seem embarrassed. Go Gray!

  • @hektorpike The vibe of The Tube (which broadcast live) was to re-create a "backstage" party feel with live acts and presenters intermingling with the audience. The actual "serious" interviews were pre-filmed and outside the studio, and "interviews" like these were just time-fillers. Also, in 1984, nobody really knew Scott Walker's work. Finally, Muriel Gray was at this point a newbie, and it shows. She got much better later on, including an excellent filmed interview with Elton John.

  • Cut Muriel Gray some slack here- she's fresh from Glasgow School of Art and joined The Tube as fashion correspondent, and then gets pressed into doing a crap 2 min. filler in a chaotic studio corner with someone who as far as most people were concerned was a 60s dude doing a comeback. Questions are deliberately dumb to avoid time overrunning, but suggest basic research about Walker Bros & the album. Considering how inexperienced she is, could have been worse- imagine Paula Yates interviewing!

  • i see some of Jarvis Cocker's move inspiration
