  • where's the sound?

  • Sorry, it's just a kind of limerick. There's no music, but that of the words.

  • It's obvious that you've been quenched with all the crap from the media. A lot of the arguments of the media are just lame and sceneless

They decided to film China on a cloudy day and said that China's full of pollution... that's got to be the lamest technique I've even seen

  • I may have been influenced, granted, but I've seen dictatorships at work before.

  • you can't get your point across if you produce weak arguments like that.

if you briefing read over the modern Chinese history you'll notice the following:

    1. The Manchu's are WORSE dictators (emperor system with the total ban of western civilisation)

    2. China really started to progress over the past 30 years (due to Civil War and Japan's invasion)

    3. The Chinese government itself is integrating into a democratic society (not fully because of high population and other demographic problems)

  • I'm happy for China then, because I do remember that it has been through a lot of hardships in recent history, but until this « integration into a democracy » is complete, I will demand from its government to respect freedom of speech and thought. Even outside the country, Chinese people seem to have a hard time expressing the slightest critique of the regime. It is stunning.

  • Eh, there's no music at all

  • Mao HAS done questionable things in his last years of life. That is also the negative effect of putting every ounce of hope to one person (who was up in age). But this is all part of history ... in fact 30 years old.

People need to stand up and live. Sometimes we can't let people speak their negative view cos then they'll NEVER move on. Moving on involves looking ahead, not back 30 years ago...

  • 7. The pollution debate is the only debate that you might have an advangtage on. Considering the fact that China is producting a lot of CO2 and other chemicals, that is an inevitable effect as companies from the Western world are sending their factors offshores (to China). Western societies should consider limiting their "wants" so that resources won't be wasted in producing luxury goods (hence pollution will lessen)

  • .. Also, the leader itself can not make the right decisions. The current Dalai Lama supported the communist party but when he found out that he can not rule "his" lands, he decided to flee the country in 1959.

    6. China is a very large country with high population (poverty comes from high population), no other country's system can be applied to govern China. The concept of "freedom" can only be spoken when you have money in your pocket (which NEEDS TO BE OWNED, not sit around and do nothing!)

  • 4. Taiwan is "divided" because of the effects of the civil war. Even the Taiwanese people admit that America was standing in the way.

Point to think about: What will happen if there's a strong country pretending to be "righteous" when America was having THEIR Civil War?... Will USA still be in one piece?

    5. The Tibetians were previously ruled by a religious leader known as "Dalia Lama". People in Tibet worshipped the leader that the Tibetian monk chose...
