The confusion is also visible in the question of race and heritage. The Census Bureau is insisting on forcing people who speak Spanish to write in Hispanic or Latino, which are European cultural heritages.

Most of Indigenous and African descendant peoples in the so called Latin America, ignore their true heritage, due to the racist educational and media system spread in the region. Due to post colonial self racism, they prefer to say they are White instead of accepting their true heritage.

  • These people are NOT mestizos, they do NOT look mixed at all, they look very Native.

  • @av8or757 That is a common problem across Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean, many non-Whites love to say they have European ancestors just because they carry a surname that was probably imposed to their slaved grandparents. It is outrageous.

  • @CarlosDCblog "God that made the world and all things therein... hath made of ONE BLOOD OF ALL NATIONS of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation..." Acts 17:24-26

  • up up hurra!!!! wooooo !!!! yujuuuuuuuu!!!!! soy negro ahora nadie me puede decir que soy hispanic jajajaa

  • People form Latin america are frommother heritages besides Hispanic, Hispanic is mostly a language and cultural identity(imposed of course), only people with Spanish ancestry can be called Hispanic, but not the Native and Afro peoples who don't have Spanish ancestry.

  • @Thakel77 Do people actually believe in the Adam and Eve fable? Wow.

  • @ruzan10 yes, it's part of the problem.

  • @mandiran self loathing racism promoted every day by the Spanish language media.

  • @juscoronaroscorona Thank you.

  • @RDBeatnik They probably knew but like the people in this video, they had a hard time accepting their true heritage. We indigenous peoples in Spanish speaking countries are raised and taught that being Native is something to be embarrassed or that you must hide always. It's one of the worst consequences of the European invasions in the Americas.

  • @abret69 Maybe I will make a video to respond your question. I know exactly what you are talking about.
