THE JOURNEY OF SOUL MUSIC

Why is there a need for a program such as, "The Journey of Soul Music".
When I look at the world that we live in, I still see separation and indifference.
I believe cultural diversity is something to be celebrated and shared. But when culture becomes the host or carrier of racism, prejudice and hatred, then it becomes the enemy of man's possibility to exist on this planet in harmony.
I created this program in 4 components in order to try to find a solution to our intolerance of other cultures. I decided to use the international language of music to convey my message to the world. Hence, I will use black American music that has spread to almost every corner of the globe to illustrate my desire for peace, understanding and acceptance.
When we share our culture we create neighbors and when we create neighbors we create friends and extended family and when we create friends and extended family we create love and respect for one another.
The 4 components I created are:
1. My lecture, that is designed to educate and to explore the history behind the music and the people.
2. My theatrical or entertainment aspect that has been created so that I might use my musical and comedic skills to allow the audience firsthand witness of the uniqueness of my culture, music and legacy.
3. My documentary, "The Making of - The Journey of Soul Music", which is necessary to allow everyone an opportunity to be a participant in my crusade.
4. CD's "The Journey of Soul Music" and the follow up release: "Honoring my Legacy". These CD's are a tribute to the great musicians that came before me.
By recording the process of creating my lectures, theatrical show and entertainment, I allow those whom do not have the possibilities to see my program live, to still experience it through my documentary.
