Jani left because he didn't like the new direction so shut the fuck up. That's why he went out, and formed his band Cin's Offering which sucks in my opinion.

This song is excellent, but first four albums are excellent. Unia and this one are just very good.

@WishmasterTheDark That's not why Jani left. Sonata Arctica is awesome in every album and it's nice they have different kind of music. Tony said the next album is going to be different again. More "hitting" songs he said, easier for listeners.

Jani is quite good composer too but nothing compared to Tony. Cain' Offering is OK but I think Jani is the best guitarrist of all time, not the best composer.

I don't have information about that, maybe that was ONE OF the reasons, but main reason is major sound change. He said that in an interview, and he didn't mention military at all.
