@johannita03 Not necessarily true... Both countries produce Pisco and there is no national denomination, as in Scotch or Champagne. I could make and sell Pisco in Cleveland and sell it under that name if I wanted. You are right about the original coming from Pisco, Peru. However, Pisco and Pisco Sours are drank heavily in both Chile and Peru.

@MattMetapoland wow after 3 years ..wow ..ok age?..peruvian pisco don't need to take age!! waiting for what?....you have to buy a bottle of pisco from peru of course and it's says DESTILADO ..TRY IS VERY DELICIOUS the yellow color is not cause the agua its cause the alcohol used..in little words ron rubio..ok time out ..bye

Chilean Pisco has a distinctive colour because it ages in oak barrels which influence the colour and flavor of the spirit (just as in the case of whisky). It's not yellow because of the addition of water (since when water is yellow)

Oh god, of course this video would have a Peru/Chile pissing contest in the comments section.
How about you guys get a boxing tournament together to resolve this? Or maybe a good old fashioned pistol duel?

El pisco es Chileno y el autogol Peruano! jajajaja True that Pisco gets its name from the region of Pisco in Peru, but it was a chilean distiller living in Peru that originated it. Learn your history!

wtf? Ron == spanish for Rum... Pisco has nothing to do with rum, it is distilled from 1-8 different fermented sorts of grapes and stored in glass or steel tanks. Pisco doesnt age in wooden barrels, thats why pisco in general is clear. Rum/Rhum/Ron on the other hand is a completely different story, first it's made from molasses or sometimes sugar cane. Then its stored in wooden barrels which gives the golden color. Apples don't taste different from bananas because of their origin!

"In most eggs, the salmonella bacteria exist only on the shell. Eggs should be scalded in boiling water for five seconds before use." !!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to make one thing clear about the Pisco video...Pisco is a Peruvian drink therefore there is not such a thing as Peruvian Pisco or Chilean Pisco as there is not such a thing as French Champagne or Japanese Champagne! The authentic one comes from the Champagne region in France as for the rest we called them "SPARKLING WINE", well the same applies for Pisco the ORIGINAL and ONLY one comes from the region of Pisco in Peru as for the other ones we called them anything else but Pisco!.
