Holiday Dinner for Anchorage Senior Activity Center Members and Guests 2011.12.10

The Annual Holiday Dinner at the Anchorage Senior Activity Center was held on December 10, 2011 from 11 AM to 2:30 PM. The Starlight Ballroom played host to the throngs of Seniors and Guests, including US Senator Mark Begich, dining. Violin players provided the background music while volunteer servers were in action helping from serving the buffet to waiting tables to bussing and resetting. While waiting to get in the ballroom, Seniors were invited to enjoy the entertainment in the back lobby. The eggnog room (Gerardy Game Room) served eggnog, punch and cookies while the Sullivan Room was staged as the dessert room. Over 400 satisfied diners enjoyed the feast prepared by the kitchen staff headed by Fran Gooman and Nina Bernard. Santa and Mrs. Claus also graced the occasion with their jolly presence. Door prizes were handed out. The whole event was coordinated by Maria James and orchestrated by James Elgarico. Video and editing by Julia Tennison and Frank Canha.
