Dave shooting Wayne's 1919 in Missouri some time ago. The gun is chambered in 8mm Mauser, and has a 10.5" bbl. These two factors combine to make the gun run about 650-700 Rounds per minute. The continuous belt was 1400 rounds or so.

  • Was the increase in your cyclic rate just from shorting the barrel or did you do other mods to increase it?

  • @scottedward5888 Just a shortened barrel length, with an opening of the buffer assembly to facilitate releasing the gasses so as not to over power the operating mechanism.

  • damn!!! How many rounds did you guys fire through the 1919? and what was the most you ever fired? feel sorry for the bad guy who trys to break in to your house!

  • That was about 1200-1300 rounds.

At one time? I think that was the longest belt ran, but we tried another one longer but had some bad ammo involved so it didn't work out so well!!!
