@pladuk68 Your so young! Go to 1980's when you where born and find something you can relate to! This song was song during her talk show days not as a complete blues singer....

She was close to 50 here... no wonder Burt was still nailin it 15 years later.

I discovered a Dinah I did not know existed thanks to You-tube. I remember her from her talk show. Frankly by that point she had lost her singing voice, but kept trying anyway. This someone has one hell of a voice plus the characteristic personality and charm that made her worth watching on her talk show.

I FOUND it! Thank you SO much!

No. THAT is a Louis Armstrong song. I mean "Mason Street Blues".
-
@stevenscottoddballz It was on the Carol Burnett Show, sometime in the 10th season. It was the same episode as the "Went With the Wind" parody of Gone With the Wind.

@philcobeam What a combination---latkes with grits! And I mean that most respectfully in memory of that great performer (I think she would have smiled). Dinah does indeed have that lovely southern lilt when you listen to her old show.
Too many people still underestimate Dinah: A great entertainer, and one of the ost elegant songbirds around.
