I think I saw an add for these in an old from 20 years ago. They are impossible to get in the US now. They look like neat rifles, probably excessively heavy though.

Yikes I hope misfires like that aren't common! I've had a semi automatic magnum research .17hmr misfire in the same manner more than once and it gave me a bit of a flinch that I had to deal with. Pays to wear eye protection that's for sure.

No, I simply bought it. That gun is very common in Switzerland, and you can get one for 300 bucks.
