A year after OU hired Bob Stoops and posted a 7-5 record to end the suck-years of the 1990s, the Sooners go on a run, defeating saxeT, K-State, #1 Nebraska, A&M, OSwho?, and Florida State to win the school's 7th National Championship.

That stretch of wins over K-State, Nebraska, and Texas was real impressive.
When one considers how K-State and Nebraska demolished their bowl game opponents, that makes this look REALLY impressive.
And don't forget how good Florida State looked before the Orange Bowl!
