This should be obvious …

Winching the plow:

… greatly over stresses the most important part of the cable - at the hook

… flexes the cable hundreds of times each snow

… flexing a steel cable for plowing is poor design

… a short hi-flex synthetic plow cable prevents using the winch as a winch

… swapping back & forth between plow cable & winch cable is a PITA

Now, there are other options, but;

This Plow Lift Modification continues to work well and leaves the winch for … WINCHING

why not use the winch??? thts what i use for plowing snow with my 4 wheeler

very nice , i just bought a used plow that has one of these actuator winch unit . But i have to order the wiring harness and the switch for it. then i will try to do what you did to yours. thanks rocky
