@jmjfanss even if Dixie Carter died when Amy Adams is going to re-do Designing Women all over again in 2012 since it is her favorite show in the entire world (#2 is California Dreams and #3 is Who's the Boss).

Yes, was always in alpha-order during first 5 seasons, to show that it was an ensemble cast. It was a coincidence that Dixie and Delta - the two cast members with the most name recognition when the show debuted - came first alphabetically; starting with season 6 (when Ray Charles did the theme), they listed Dixie and Annie, the two most senior female members first (even though "Duffy" and "Hooks" come before "Potts"). Meshach has always had special billing at the end (e.g. "last but not least")
