Danelectro Sitar

For those who wonder how this sound is achieved, yes I use the Gotoh "sitar bridge" you can now find quite easily on the net (prices range from $50 to $80 or more sometimes). It's very easy to put it on a Danelectro guitar, without modifications, cause it's shaped the same than a classic Dano bridge. The only thing you need, is to add a stop tail (like a "badass" or something) to hold the strings.

@JMZMusic Where did you put the sitar bridge? I have a Danelectro Dc1959 Reissue, can i put that sitar bridge (i don't know if it calls bridge, but i know it looks like and it's black) on my DC 59? Thanks!

no need to reply back i see your not using a sitar swami pedal but u use the gotoh sitar bridge cool stuff .i'll have to got one and sell the crappy dano sitar swami pedal its amazing what just that gotoh bridge can do turns the guitar into a real sitar.

HELP!!!hi i bought one of these last week but sounds crap nothing like a sitar more like a fuzzy flanger , but yours soundS great how come mine is'nt the same in sound?would appreciate some feedback .theres a guy with glasses called bozsomo allso on here has a dano sitar swami and his is the same as mine sound grap infact his is worse than mine take a listen thanks ed
