Oh, duh. I thought this was related to an earlier conversation. :) I tend to think that everything is about ME. No, that combination netted me a 12.18. I guess that was a bit of a post hijack, my apologies.
Now I'm really confused. 100 shot with the cold air trick, chip, exhaust, ignition, locked diff, drag tires, etc. and it only got you 0.16 better than stock???
Misc: Dynotune in car A/F meter, Snow Performance N/A water-methanol injection kit, custom designed and manufactured nitrous/water-meth electronic controls and metering
I have worked now for 3 years on my Mark, and I have dyno'd and experimented with every engine bolt on and accessory you can imagine including CAIs, Shortys, exhausts, U/D pullies, J-mods to the 4r70w, 80mm TBs, MAF upgrades, gear changes, driveshafts, IMRC deletes, intake changes, cams, nitrous and just about anything else excluding S/C or Turbos. Please don't belittle my work by calling all of that easy!
Instead of point by point going over each of your options I would like to say that the reason I am addressing this at all is by using the word "easy" it takes away from the very intense amount of study and work that I and others have done in order to produce a "fast" Mark VIII. At no time was it "easy" and 70% of what is available doesn't produce a measurable result either on the dyno, nor at the track.
for starters Cold air intake, up the maf, up the TB, shorty headers from a mustang (with slight fabrications) should work, port and polished Plenum, most exhaust system upgrades from a cobra would work (again may need fabrication), supercharging almost any ford or Lincoln involves a hood upgrade.
plus these 4.6s ford uses can take hell, nitrous systems seem to work very well and there you can use a cobra's nitrous system.
I want info too!!! I have a 1998 Mk8 LSC that I want to play around with..
