A tribute to Shyamasundara

The pictures used in this video are not mine . This video aims at spreading the love and name of Sri Shyamasundar far and wide .
This video deals with two famous deities both by the name of Shyamasundar . The first one is at Sridham Vrindavan .
The story of Shyamananda pandita goes like this----

In Vrindavan the famous sadhaka Shyamananda pandita used to regularly sweep the grounds of sacred Nidhuvana every morning . He considered this to be his seva to their lordships , who sported their divine leela every night in that same Nidhuvana . One morning while sweeping the ground he came across a gold anklet(nupur) . He knew that gold was not worn by humans on feet , as per custom . Only gods wear gold anklets at their feet . So this must have been of some heavenly denizens . Then he kept the anklet to himself . Meanwhile the real owner of the anklet , Srimati Radharani became aware of her loss . She summoned Vishakha to bring her back her anklet . Vishakha appeared before Shyamananda in form of a beautiful girl and demanded the anklet . Shyamanda politely refused saying that he would give it back only to the real owner of the object . When Vishakha understood his strong determination she advised him to take a bath in the well situated within the kunja . After bathing Shyamananda saw that his body has been transformed into a womens body . For no male apart from Krishna is allowed to go near Radharani . Then with this divine female body Shyamananda entered into the spiritual realms of Vrindavan where he personally met with Vrajeshwari Radha and put back the anklet at her lotus feet . As a token of gratitude and love Radhrani gave him a sacred tilaka mark on his forehead and the deity of Shyamasundara which can still be seen in RadhaShyamasundara temple of vVindavan.

The second temple is at sripaat Khardaha . In the palace grounds of nawab of Bengal there was a big black kasauti stone lying unused for many days . Then a devotee managed to get the stone from nawab . Son of Nityananda Prabhu ,. Sri Birchandra Prabhu carved three deities out of that stone -- Shyamasundara of Khardaha , Radhavallabha of Radhavallabhpur and RadhaNandadulal of Hugli then he gave these three deities to his sons . Soon they became the most famous radha krishna deities of greater bengal . Today Khardaha Shyamasundar continues to draw in devotees and admirers in great numbers and is manitained by descendents of sri Nityananda Prabhu .

@ghentyal it is ramkumar chattopadhyay . a renowned singer of old songs in bengal . he specialised in classical tappa , shyamasangeet and puratani gaans .
