silly question but what petrol have you found runs best in this car, , have been using 98 octane, now wondering if runs better on 95

I have GF8 `99 model STI where can I find performance parts and what will swap over from the GC8 sedan....??? any good web-sites??? Mine is JDM spec...being that I LIVE IN JAPAN.....hard to find parts for it;;;;
