ISS Pass Over the USA - North View

This video was taken by the crew of Expedition 29 on board the International Space Station. The sequence of shots was taken October 18, 2011 from 07:09:06 to 07:27:42 GMT, on a pass from just south of Alaska to eastern Cuba. The camera used for this imagery was north-facing, so the Aurora Borealis stay visible throughout the video. Lights from southern Canada show up before passing into central North America. Through the clouds, the peninsula of Michigan can be seen, with Chicago brightly lit at the south end of Lake Michigan. A few lightning storms can be seen in the large cloud mass over the Central United States. Finally, many large cities can be seen on the East Coast of the United States, including Atlanta, Georgia. Near the end of the video, the eastern half of the Florida peninsula can be seen, as well as the lighter shallow waters of the Bahamas.

looks so fake. after effects right? I think nasa is hiding something, with all these fake videos and pictures. Send a rocket or something with a camera turned on from earth to space and show us the original video.

;) You are ironic and sarcastic... but, I still think is fake. What's with that bright light? Are cities? No way. :))) Looks like a lava. Believe what you want, I have passed through here, I've seen, it's fake and sayonara. I am not interested what others think, I have vertebral column. Fake as 69'. You know what I am talking.

@ultrakool I made out some of the locations and assigned labels to it, see watch?v=hxZOOfnsWmQ I used google earth nasa map overlay to get the cities right in this unusual perspective ...

@J5MARLON i stand corrected on my last comment...that area is definitely central north dakota. the minot/bismark area. i'll lay money on it...

@J5MARLON right. after re-observing the trajectory on this and by using chicago (which is unmistakeable on lake michigan) and the twin cities (to the upper left of chicago) as a reference point...it must be the edmonton/calgary area
