Well-connected Kuwaitis talk of a similar strategy to 1991: heavy bombing, followed by a ground attack from the North and South. This time however, America boasts newer, high tech weapons.

Kuwait was drinking Saddams milkshake and hence gulf war. Saddam was cool but he was American puppet, not to mention puppet of whole Arab world, also fighting for Kuwaiti people against Iran. Iraq fought against Iran so that Arabs or Americans wouldn't have to. All Iraq got as thanks was hate of Americans, their fellow Arabs and people of Iran.

Not completely. Sadam had a 500 billion dollar debt with us because we assisted Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war and he didnt want to pay the debt back. We even offered to remove the debt. without anyone knowing (Publically), but he refused and waged war on Kuwait.
