The main part of Bruce technique (as I understand it) is to focus our attention and use the imagination to perceive the unknown. At the beginning, you imagine everything... but soon or later, real information bind to your imagination. More the ability is developed, more the imagination works as a perceiver and more the perception of the unknown is sharp, accurate and exact.

Yeah, and I think this is the "modern way" to experiment higher energy system. In oldest esoteric and gnostic literature I think it was referred as "projecting the consciousness to mental plane" which are not accessible (well, in general) while doing normal OoBE.

to understand this new way of looking at our world, you need the premise in place that you are not the physical body as your totality. that you also continue as you, in nonphysical dimension. think about what the body is..it merely functions as a sensory device for spirit, for mind. food in, waste product out. is this you? then get sick and die.

I guess one way someone could prove that he is actually leaving his body would be to have someone physically write something on a piece of paper in another part of town at a specific time and have the OOBE subject go there and watch him write it then tell what he wrote after coming back to his body. If the OOBE is a reality then this test should show favorable results every time. But I've yet to see anyone do it.

@chuasiawping I bought them from amazon.com. They are available on amazon, abe books, alibris and sometimes on ebay, but on ebay they are usually very expensive. I keep looking for 'Voyage Beyond Doubt' to come up cheap on ebay but its appearances are very rare. They might also be in bookshops, but they are definitely available on-line.
