Still from this clip are being used to prove the gyre is fiction because the surface skimmer shows none in it. This is far from a scientific expedition. Is the boat is where it says it is? The boat could have been going in a tight circle in a patch free from surface debris. Other studies showed plastic floating just beneath the surface--this technique misses that. And so on. Also, the last scene in the clip SHOWS junk plastic. Those using this clip as a proof disingenuously ignored that portion.
