  • @muzikrehberinettc Geraldo Pino was born on 10 February 1939 and died on 10 November 2008 at the age of 69. Born and raised as Gerald Pine in Freetown, Sierra Leone to a Nigeria-based lawyer and lost his mother and sister at an early age. Changed name to Geraldo Pino to sound more exotic due to his love for Congolese rumba and Latin American music. Lived and played mostly in Sierra Leone in the early and mid 60s, but returned to Nigeria in 1969. Had cancer and diabetes before his death.
