Here is a little project in which I created extreme slow motions using Twixtor for Premiere Pro. The images are pretty grainy because I had to boost the ISO to manage a shutter speed short enough to obtain crisp single frames (see below). I used some tracking points in the second extreme slow motion part (when the tangerine comes down again) to prevent blending ghosts.

Enjoy and leave comments!

Used equipment:
Canon EOS 550D / T2i
Canon EF 50mm f1.8
720p @ 50fps (because of european electric power)
exposure: 1/1250 sec, f/1.8, ISO 800
software: Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Twixtor plug-in V5.0

  • This is very nice. I am using Final Cut Pro with Twixtor 4.5 plugin, but can't get nearly as good of a staff as this. Do you know if it would be possible to replicate this in Final Cut Pro? Thank you for this great video!

  • @sanoturman

Sure, I did it in Premiere Pro, but Twixtor should provide the same functionality in Final Cut Pro. A little hint: use track points (see my Twixtor tutorial).

  • @DreamaginaryPictures Hey great vid ,Im trying to this with my cannon 550d , Ive tryed 50fps and 60 fps but when twixtoring it it just warps like crazy any ideas , Not enough light maybe ? thanks in advance.

I guess it looks like the short sequence connecting the two slow motions in my own video (at 1:30). That happens when you blend across more than two frames and slow it down too much. If you want to make your footage extremely slow, then try blending from just one frame to the next (also watch the Twixtor tutorial in my channel where I adress warping problems by adding track points).

  • what is name this music??? :D

    good project ;)

  • @serdarbasboga
