A hard press is straightening your hair with a pressing comb and makeing your hair super straight...my hair could hold a press for weeks and it would seem like I had a relaxer but I didn't. It also depends on your hair type. My hair held a press real good. When your hair is more natural a press will not last as long...also you don't want a hard press but maybe one that will get your hair straight but not super straight...using no heat is the best solution to keeping your curl pattern though.

Sorry to ask, but what's a "hard press", I'm still learning technical terms for stuff and getting out of saying nappy or good and bad hair. I know!! There are soo many ways to wear my hair I alsmot didn't know where to start

Yes, no heat is the best. What is cool for me is that I am able to enjoy my hair now. Youtube has helped so much with how to style and take care of our hair. If I ever straighten it again it won't be a hard press and won't be done anytime soon. I want a good deal of lenght first. The regular pressing/flatironing was just too much. I like natural styles...I feel like I am being who I really am. Our hair is so versatile so we are not limited :)

I'm leaning towards 4a. Or if using Lois then I'm a os with about even thin and thick hair. I held some strands next to each other and that's what I came up with, lol. I got the perm off today! It was fun, I had a friend there for support, cause I got scared right before hahah. Aw thanks, I saw your kiwi video that was awesome! I heard that heat can do that. now i'm nervouse about straightening out my hair. I think I'm going to use rollers to do it so no heat

@hontoa1 . You want em? You can have em. We were dating when that first picture taken. Notice anything weird? His arm is around another girl, even then. hurt my feelings but I didn't say anything and rationalized his behavior away. Bad mistake doing that and marrying that one, he cheated on me multiple times and married the last girl he cheated on me with only a month after we got divorced. Cute isn't worth all that drama

Thank you :) I got it done by this really nice gay dude. I won't be going back though, cause there's some kind of shady business going on in the parking lot at night. I had to leave after dark and ooooweeee!
