The crowd gathered at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre for the premiere of a documentary on the Electric Daisy Carnival, an electronic music festival that's notorious for how many attendees use recreational drugs. A party hosted by DJ Kaskade was scheduled to follow the film. People reportedly refused to disperse and some began throwing bottles at officers. Police have proceeded to shoot at the crowds with bean bags. The crowds started to vandalized police cars and set fires.
