Hundreds march in Oxnard in celebration of the life of Cesar Chavez
Hundreds of farm workers and community activists celebrate the life and work of Cesar E. Chavez by participating in a UFW march in Oxnard this past weekend. The march coincided with the 15 anniversary of Cesar's passing.

UFW President Arturo Rodriguez and co-founder Dolores Huerta led the 2 mile march that started at El Camino del Sol Park and ended at the Oxnard Performing Arts and Convention Center. The event was organized by the United Farm Workers and the Cesar Chavez March Committee, which included representatives from organizations throughout the county.

  • Great group of people! This is how a march should look like. Please limit the supply of workers, close the borders and let these people live the American Dream! If you do not limit the supply, wages will continue to be low.

  • when will we find new latinos-chicanos to lead us? our president is BLACK! the struggle is over, mad respect to chavez but we need to find new reasons to put all this energy that we have! cuz these parades getting old

  • im all for workers rights and a better immigration policy, but these things have gotten out of hand, its no longer about the poor farm laborers but its a race pride and we hate america and whitey march, im mexican and most people i know couldnt give a damn about farm workers and were only out there for "la raza" yes there are some real activist but the UFW and others need to do something about these idiots who hurt their cause.

  • Felicidadez, eso es todo asi tenemos que ablar, por que los abuzadores(de compesinos) estan en todos lados ANIMO RAZA. SI SEPUEDE!! CLARO QUE SE PUEDE. I LIKE TO SEE THOSE DECE DIENTES DE CAMPESINOS STAND UP. SI NO LO ASEMOS NOS AFECTA MUCHO, NO PODEMOS OLVIDAR.
