so Adonay is whom / what now? still researching... thx for the video! I am strongly considering joining... my great great great great grandfather was the founder of the knights + masons joining together (Andrew Michael Ramsay)
The rest of what Pike wrote? Even in so-called full context, I don't see anything redeeming here. Pike also said that he would leave Freemasonry if negroes were allowed to join. Explain away that one!
@itsboringboring constitutionalist, not anarchist. You give no good reason for submitting other than facing the long arm of the law, what a coward you are. Even a good Mason dies with honour, but not scum like you
Masonry has never had a policy of discrimination based upon race or religious belief. Unfortunately though, when much of America had taken up the policy of segregation and discrimination so did some Masons. This became a difficult time to welcome black men to Masonry but it did still happen. Black men who are Masons are free to visit any Lodge they wish, as long as the Lodge is recognized by their Grand Lodge (some Lodges are not recognized due to policy differences or territorial disputes).
"Lets give a Clap" for people who cannot determine timelines. Albert Pike lived from 1809 to 1891. The first Klan (non-racist, anti-federal militia) was started by Forrest, who had taken one degree in Masonry and never returned (maybe he didnt like the message of brotherhood, tolerance, and patriotism). During that time Pike was stuck in Washington DC. The second Klan (the one that was racist, and anti-religion) was not founded till 1915, at which time Pike was DEAD (for over 20 years!).
