The village of Al-Arakib was re-built

Al-Arakib is a Bedouin village that was founded in the Negev before the establishment of the State of Israel. During the 1950s, the residents of the village were expelled from their land by the Israeli authorities. During the 1990s, seeing that the state had not put their land to any use, some of the families returned to the village. Their attempts to work the land and create a little Garden of Eden were thwarted when the state authorities destroyed their crops and homes. In order to establish a legal case for ownership, the state, with the help of the Jewish National Fund, began planting trees on the land.

On the morning of Tuesday, 27 July, security forces arrived at Al-Arakib. They were armed with demolition orders and accompanied by hundreds of police officer as well as bulldozers and demolition equipment. The police expelled the residents by force, making room for the bulldozers and heavy equipment. The village was completely destroyed, with hundreds of olive trees uprooted.

On Saturday 31 July the village was rebuilt with the support and help of Jewish Israelis who came from all over Israel.

I totally applaud the actions of these brave Israelis who have shown how humans should act. The Netanyahu Zionist Monsters who destroyed these homes are the ones who have caused so much horror for the people who were on the land before 1948 when they arrived from Germany and Poland.

They demolished it today, Feb 16, 2011. These Jews are brave and decent people for standing up against the evil ones. It is heartening to see such people helping the Palestinians who are basically defenseless against those spawn of the devil.
