@XxSLAMHAMMERxX - A few years ago, in promoting their version of JJ, the Gracies stated '95% fights end up on the ground.' In MMA scenarios this is believable. But in real street conflicts I highly doubt it. My personal experience (emergency medical field) is that most people involved in fights have either been struck on the scalp or face with a fist or blunt object, or have injured their hands from punching incorrectly. I barely see someone who's been arm locked or choked.

people are ignant sometimes man. they dont know that a gi replicates clothing people would wear out on the street. how often would u be in a fight or have to defend urself against a shirtless dude? even so, theres still plenty of ways to take a guy like that out

u can choke em out wit there shirt...awesome.next time im in a parkinglot deathmatch...ill try it out...if i can remember it ,lol

@ishikawaml - Yes, probably. In the past few days, I have seen a couple of stabbings and alot of face/scalp strikes from fists, crow bars etc. In ALL the conflicts I've seen, NONE have turned into a Ne Waza match.. and the aggressors AND victims were mostly simply thugs, not trained martial artists.
-
@henh32 Probably because most people on the street arren't trained to fight or in ground based combat?

I can see why they chose this guy to get demonstrated... Who wouldn't want to chock his ass that many times!
-
@justtv321 I know! I thought that it was kindda weird. he seemed like "oh yeah, I'm about to get chocked"
-
guy looks preeetty happy with being the guinea pig for all these air depriving techniques
MrMZaccone.. This is simply a demonstration of where your grips need to be. Not intended for tactical demonstration. As sloppy as they might look to you, they do the job in cutting off the blood flow.
