Does anyone know how to get rid of the stains on the V-Slicer without cutting ones fingers?

@shillyshallyz I agree, I have a great plastic mandoline (Japanese style, small) and I don't need any leg. One type of mandoline the leg won't break, and that's the REAL mandolines (like the French ones) that they use in the restaurant. Of course they're also several hundred dollars each lol.

This is the V Slicer Plus version from Börner, Germany. Indeed, I also never saw a leg (that could break) like in this video. You don't need that leg stand.

There are many versions which are being permanently improved, there are many prices. I'll go to Germany for a choice in the newest 2009 versions !

you could be right, and other than the legs it looks identical to my swissmar v-slicer. i wonder if it is a v-slicer with a custom leg stand?

It's probably the Vidalia Slice Wizard.

Note that this is not a product from Swissmar Borner. They do not make a product with the leg stand as shown in the video; I have asked them. The only product they offer is an accessory bowl that helps stabilize and collect the cuttings. I would love to know who makes this item though...

I took that video when my husband and I went to Home Patio Show here in Jacksonville, Florida and I can't resist spending $40 for this neat little mandolin! It really make my cooking and cleaning stint a lot less tedious.
lol you can tell that she's done that demo a thousand time before, not much heart in this demo LOL
