Ok so your grandparents came here legally. Do you know how many requirements there are to come here now? I am sure that back then it was hard to come here legally, but if it was hard then it is even harder now. I am not saying the immigrating illegally is a good thing. But for those of us who are already here legally it would be easy to say "just come here legally" not knowing that where some of these people come from life is so hard and unbearable that you can't wait yrs and yrs for permission.

How long ago was this with the pilgrims? Oh yea thats right over 200 years ago--who gives a shit? Let me tell my familys story. My grandparents came from Poland through Ellis Island. The brother of my grandfather did NOT get permission to come in the USA because he did not meet the standards. He had to return to Poland. My grandparents learned English, instead of being handheld and catered to in Polish. They came in LEGALLY and had respect for their new country. They did not break in!

"immigration reform" for these people = amnesty as in the rights to stay for illegals. These are not "immigrants" these are ILLEGAL immigrants. These are people who did NOT follow the laws to come here unlike LEGAL immigrants.
