HP Dv6-1050us Review Part 2

I think that the battery life, on power saver, is pretty good, lasts about 2.5 hours (depending on what you're doing). On the speakers, they are amazing quality, however the bass is lacking a little bit. However, I use one of the headphone ports to hook up my iPod speakers to it (using a headphone to aux cable) and it gets much deeper noise. For me, without the ipod speakers, the sound is fine enough, however if you like really nice deep sound, these speakers aren't perfect, but still good.

I have this laptop & I love it! I put Windows 7 on here when it first came out & I've been happy with its performance. I suggest if you are going to do muliti tasking on this computer you should upgrade your ram & under task manager you should slim down your processes and what starts up automatically.

No, I haven't tried win 7, sorry. I can tell you, I've had this laptop for over a month and had no problems. If you read other reviews, people say the same thing, it's very reliable and HP is a respected brand. Your choice tho. Anyway, as for heat, yes it can get kind of hot, however I like to play games while the laptop is on a desk anyway and it never gets so hot it overheats. The fan is fairly quiet, it may start up a little bit when something gets started, but it stops after a little bit.

I forgot, what the heat ? While gaming, the noise isn't too annoying ? While surfing the web, it's not to noisy ? Is the cooling system good enough ?

I'm sorry man to ask you a lot of questions, but buying a new laptop which i'll keep for at least 2 years, i must make the good choice. I hope you understand and you will advice me :).

About the battery, it looks like the same as my Asus F3SV. When power saver is on, i usually surf the web (lots of windows with mozilla), music and msn. So power saver on, screen backlight to minimum and wifi on.

I'm still hesitating on the hp because i'm not sure about the quality and the reliability of that laptop.

Have u tried to install win7 ?

What do you think of the battery, i mean in battery saving mode, how long ?

And about the speakers ? Enough bass ?
