Assembly Fast-Tracks Bill to Aid Unemployed Californians

(Sacramento) To help address Californias 10.1 percent unemployment rate, the Assembly Insurance Committee has approved on an 8-2 vote AB 3X 23, key legislation to benefit Californians who have lost their jobs. Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles), directed the fast tracking of the legislation, which will help maximize federal unemployment insurance dollars for California. With nearly 2-million Californians out of work we have an unemployment emergency in this state and this bill will help address that, Bass said. Heres more in this Assembly Access video.
