how to get Kinect voice recognition in Australia

This is what you will need to do to get voice recognition on your kinect and xbox 360 if you are unfortunate enough to live out of the US, UK, Japan or Mexico.

Can you use the voice recognition offline by just changing your locale to US or UK (and still using your australian or european account)

@Gamer2096 ... im pretty sure i tried and it wouldnt let me, however i tkhink the update is just round teh corner to allow you to play both offline and server based games with voice.

hiiii I am from sweden and I did this but it doesn´t work when a create a profile sothat I am born i USA and when I am connecting to xbox live it says: this address needs to be from a different domain??????????????????? what should I do. help me

@dani415messi yeah about that! i dont think it will work with US, maybe try something in your area thats supported like i dont know...try any of the following if the USA didnt work - Canada, UK , Mexico, and Japan as these are apparently the only areas supporting voice at present.

@FlexRainZ to be honest i dont know, i heard that it may be next year sometime, i think the update will come sooner due to demand, definately worth waiting for those of you who have a kinect but dont have the voice recog feature yet as i can tell you first hand, after playing a few different games i found it very impressive.

maybe try remain logged in with both, or create two US accounts and log in first with US, then AUs, then US again, then log out of first US account, that should hopefully do it, hahahahahaha too much F'n around.

I knew that would work , only prob is if u want to play any server based games u need to switch it back ...... its the only thing Im dissapointed with on kinect .....sure it will be fixed soon ...... whats wierd is games like sonic freeriders utilize voice recog really well ... all I can say is microsoft rushed kinect release to get out in time for chrissy.. good product lets hope they update SOON

just something new i just stumbled upon, i found that when i logged in first with my new account i set up with US as location and region that if i then log in with my AUS account i have speech recognition, then i simply log out of the new account and it tricks the xbox ito thinking ou can still have it, that is until you next log out, simple process for us who are unfortunate enough not to have it yet.
